How do I apply for subdomain hosting at Shotgun Opera?
Be sure to read the rules below, and if you qualify, fill out the form linked at the bottom of this page.
What’s part of the hosting package?
As a SGO hostee, you get the following:
- 1 subdomain in the format http://yoursite.shotgunopera.net
- FTP username and password
- Unlimited bandwidth
- 10GB of shared* storage space
- Technical support from yours truly
* Shared with other hostees and myself… so don’t get greedy and store your entire hard drive on there or something!! 
What happens if I break any of the rules?
If you break any of the rules, regardless of whether or not it was intentional, depending on how grave the situation is I reserve every right to suspend and/or delete your account without warning (of course, this would be for drastic situations, like if you uploaded a virus to the server or something malicious to that extent).
Rules
Please read the rules before applying.
- This is a fanworks-only subdomain offer. You must intend to have a fanart, fanfiction, or fanlistings.
- No illegal content or activites are allowed to be hosted on this server. This means no uploading music or video files, no pirated content, and so on. I don’t want to have my account suspended for suspicious and/or illegal activity on your part.
- You must update once a month. If you are going on hiatus, or wish to deactivate your account, please let me know first before you do so. Inactive accounts take up space that could be used for someone else’s hosting.
- You must link back to SGO.
- I will check your domain once a month to make sure all the rules are met. If there’s something that needs addressing, I will shoot you an email and you have two weeks to fix it.
- You must be familiar with FTP. I’m not going to explain to you how to use an ftp user and password to log in; if you don’t know what this is, you will not be able to update or even access your site.
- The correct response to “Flash” is “Thunder”

I have a few questions,
What If I don’t have a website already running? Because I was wondering that once I got hosted by you, I can always make the site.
Also, I’m a creator of fandoms on Youtube, can I also post my videos on the website too? (I also would like the site to be fanart. But have a area where people can request for me making them edits and such as icons, headers, etc.
Hi Sarah. If you are able to code your own website, then you can use it for anything you want, as long as it contains fanworks like your videos on Youtube
